Education and career

1987 – Graduated with honors from the State Central Institute of Physical Culture (GCOLIFK), Moscow (Russia) – with the educational qualification degree Master with professional qualification figure skating coach.

1988 – a Methodist in the Organizing Committee of the XIV Winter Universiade ’89, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Since 1988 she has been a lecturer in figure skating at the Department of Technical and Ice Sports at the National Sports Academy.

Since 2002 she has been an international figure skating judge.

Since 2008, after successfully passing the exam, an ISU Single & Pair Judge and since 2017, an ISU Ice Dance Judge. 2018 successfully passed the exam for international technical controller in single figure skating. Since 2009 judge of the ISU championships: European, World Championships and Winter Olympic Games – Sochi 2014.

Since 2006 she has been a member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Skating Federation. A President of the Bulgarian Skating Federation from January 5, 2011 until now.

Member of the Organizing Committee of the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships Sofia 2008 and 2009 and of the organizing committee of the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships Sofia 2010.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships Sofia 2014 and 2018.

2019 awarded an educational and scientific Ph. D. degree in the professional field of Sports, in the doctoral program "Theory and Methodology of Sports Science".

Since 2024 Head of Department Technical and Ice Sports, National Sports Academy, Sofia

Foreign languages: English, Italian and Russian.

Pedagogical activity

1988 – Research Assistant in figure skating in the Department of “Winter Sports and Auto-Moto”.

1992 – Senior Assistant in the Department “Winter Sports” and since 2000 in the Department “Technical and Ice Sports”

2006 – Chief Assistant in the Department “Technical and Ice Sports”

2023 – Associate Professor in the Department “Technical and Ice Sports”

Sports activity

Member of the Bulgarian National Team in figure skating, short track and curling.

Took part in 6 European curling championships.

Scientific interests

Biomechanics in figure skating and short track.

Organization and management of training and competition process.

Problems of judging in figure skating, etc.
