Valentina Dimitrova Wins Gold at the Junior Biathlon European Championship

Valentina Dimitrova began her participation at the Junior Biathlon European Championship with a gold medal in the German winter center of Altenberg. The third-year student at the National Sports Academy and recipient of the NSA's "Athlete of the Year – 2024" award claimed the title in the 12.5 km individual discipline.

Valentina missed one shot in each of her first two shooting rounds but was flawless in her next two, managing to outpace Finland's Eveliina Hakala by 3.7 seconds at the finish line. The bronze medal went to Poland's Amelia Liska, who trailed Dimitrova by 55 seconds.
