Published on 17 February 2025 The Chess Club at NSA "Vasil Levski" provided charitable support by securing the prizes, refereeing, and organization of the Winter School Chess Tournament at 105 SS "Atanas Dalchev" in the Dianabad district of Sofia. The initiative was led by Senior Assistant Radislav Atanasov from the Sports Academy. The competition, open to all grades of the school, took place on February 9, 2025, with 67 young chess players participating. The tournament lasted four hours, and the final rankings were as follows: Girls: - Taisia Skorokhod (6th grade) - 2 points
- Bozhidara Malamova (8th grade) - 2 points
- Lora Vasileva (2nd grade) - 1.5 points
Boys: - Viktor Ivanov (2nd grade)
- Georgi Djenkov (5th grade)
- Hristo Slavchev (4th grade)
The three boys finished with four wins and two points each and were ranked based on additional criteria. The winners received gold, silver, and bronze medals, albums of world champion Veselin Topalov, and pocket-sized magnetic chess sets. |
